Greenville Drive is the minor league baseball came proudly claimed by its inhabitants. They are considered a class A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox and a high rank member of the South Atlantic League. Their name “The Drive” drew it’s inspiration from BMW US and Michelin Manufacturing having headquartered in the Greenville area. Perhaps it greatest and most recent accolade was on May 8, 2012 whereby it’s three pitchers, pitched its first ever no hitter game against Atlanta’s Rome Braves. Fluor Field at the West End is the venue that hosts the games for their loyal fan base. The ball park was named stadium of the year in 2006 and has recently been approved for a ten million dollar renovation getting fans excited that their endearing stadium will get a state of the art makeover.
